David Grabowski has played piano since he was five years old. A student of the Suzuki method and graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of Music, he is a trained classical pianist who delves into a spectrum of genre: classical, jazz, rock, soul, and more. In 2011 he graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Music Composition, minoring in piano performance and conducting. In his time at CMU he studied with pianist Enrique Graf and composer Nancy Galbraith. As a composer he writes for a range of forces, including orchestra, small ensemble, and vocalists. He has scored the music for over thirty films across an array of genres. His musical tastes are as varied as his compositional capabilities, which compliment his ability as a pianist to assimilate and improvise in almost any setting.
